During the years of college Matteo toured the United States and Europe with his art-rock band Walden Waltz, for which he composed lyrics and music, and produced visual contents and artworks. In 2012 the band flew to Hollywood to attend the 21st Los Angeles Music Award, receiving the prize “Outstanding debut release”, for the EP produced in San Francisco by Ron Nevison (Led Zeppelin, The Who).
